Tamara Sijlbing

‘Quality requires us to keep asking questions about what seems self-evident and to continuously align on the meaning of quality.’

Tamara is Quality, Information & Education Officer at CARADT. With a background in anthropology and a passion for storytelling, she connects research, education, and policy to foster inclusive, dialogical quality practices that support reflection and collaboration.

Tamara holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology. During her studies, she developed an interest in education and focused her master’s thesis on global citizenship in education. After graduating, she began working in education as a policy advisor and later as a quality advisor. Alongside her work in education, she has a love for stories and has also worked on projects as an editor and writer.

At CARADT, Tamara connects research, education, and quality in a practical and meaningful way. She moves comfortably between policy and practice, and enjoys working where education, research, and society meet— always open to different perspectives.

Her work is rooted in the belief that research quality isn’t just about frameworks and criteria, but about the questions we dare to ask— and how inclusive, dialogical, and responsive our answers are. With a strong sense of structure and collaboration, she helps to create space at CARADT for reflection and dialogue to ensure high level quality standards.
