Join the First Seasonal Lab Walk: Foraging and Herbarium-Making with Roos Konings

Seasonal Lab Walks are a series of field-based workshops that invite students and researchers to explore local ecologies through embodied, situated, and regenerative practices. By walking together through diverse landscapes, participants are encouraged to slow down, observe closely, and engage with ecological systems in a caring and reciprocal way. The walks are initiated by the Material Incubator [MI] Labarrow at CARADT, and are guided by local expert and forager Roos Konings (Foraging Academyarrow).

First ‘Seasonal Lab Walk’ at OERgroen

We now warmly invite you to join the first walk of the Seasonal Lab Walks series, taking place in the summer season. This session takes place on Wednesday 26 June 2025 in the lush surroundings of Food Forest OERgroen (Voedselbos OERgroenarrow), where participants will be introduced to the principles of ethical foraging. The summer season offers an abundance of wild berries, flowers, and edible leaves.

As part of the workshop, Roos Konings will guide participants in learning how to look at plants — not only to name or harvest them, but to better understand their role in local ecosystems. Participants will engage in drawing exercises and start building their own herbarium as a method of knowledge-making.

Date & Time: Wednesday, 26 June 2025 | 09:30 – 13:30
