Apply now for one of the pathways! This programme aims to create a common place for learning and exchange, facilitated in a progressive interdisciplinary and co-research curriculum of four different pathways.
The Master tracks are embedded in Avans Creative Innovation at the center of ‘s-Hertogenbosch along clustered BA programmes in art, design, business, communication & media design. We work closely with St.Joost School of Art and Design and expertise center CARADT. Educational facilities include a tech laboratory, a library and an equipment loan facility. Our workshop facilities provide students courses in 3D visualisation, VR/AR, non-linear immersive and iterative storytelling, spatial design, interactive media, and access to film & photography, (3D)print, wood, ceramics and metal workshops. All located in the South of the Netherlands with good public transport, rural area’s and vibrant communities
Ecology Futures
Not a singular future, but a plural one. Not an individual being disconnected from others, but rather an assemblage of many entities. Living, decaying, human, other-than-human, connections forming and re-forming as circumstances warrant. The pathway teaches you bio-art and –design methodologies, critical theory and technology-based perspectives for eco-oriented research projects.
Health by Design
A global paradigm shift is underway, recognizing individuals beyond their illnesses. And emphasizing the crucial role of art and design in collaboratively shaping ethical innovations. Adding value to complex health and wellbeing challenges, and propelling your career in a rapidly evolving field. (Located in Breda)
Situated Design
Recognizes designers and visual storytellers as a distinct presence in the world. You immerse in modern discourses and focus on prevailing conditions, situated knowledge and design practices. An embodied design practice that enables you to navigate the world as integral part of it.
Visual Arts & Post Contemporary Practice
Visual Arts delivers artists, designers and researchers that are able to expand their career based on value-driven motivations to create a better world. You will further develop intellectual and practical skills to re-define your practice. In a research environment that connects cultural studies, visual and digital cultures.
