Conference | Caradt at xCoAx

Last week Caradt researcher Danielle Roberts presented their paper “Exploring Embodied Interaction to Support Self-Transcendence in the Art Installation Magic Tea” at the xCoAx conference in Weimar, Germany. “The focus of xCoAx is on the unpredictable overlaps between creative freedom and algorithmic rules, between human nature and machine technology, aimed towards new directions in aesthetics.” The paper is co-written with Carath researcher Alwin de Rooij. It gives an overview of the underlying theories, design rational and experiment results of the research conducted with the interactive art installation. The paper is included in the conference proceedings and can be downloaded herearrow.

‘For me, the iterative design-research process is an exciting journey towards designs that can transform human consciousness.’

Danielle Roberts is a researcher within the Situated Art and Design research group and a tutor at the Communication & Multimedia Design programme at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda.
