The magazine is a space for reflection on collaboration, impact, and value creation on different levels. Collaboration for Impact comes out of the shared curiosity of the researchers, design professors, and lecturers who work at universities of applied sciences that are affiliated with the NADR network, and/or those who work on KIEM GoCI-funded projects. Contributors map the outputs of their research projects for the magazine.
A closer look at Collaboration for Impact through applied design research
Four design research professors who had been appointed ‘matchmakers’ on SIA and CLICKNL’s Go Creatieve Industrie (GoCI) programme examined applied design researchers’ contributions to Collaboration for Impact. The magazine outlines a selection of thirty highly varied projects, twenty of which were funded as a result of the KIEM GoCI call. The other ten, which also involved collaboration with and for creative professionals, were supported by a variety of other funders. Jeroen van den Eijnde (ArtEZ University of the Arts); Michel van Dartel (Avans University of Applied Sciences, Caradt’s Research Professor in the Situated Art and Design research group); Peter Joore (NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences); and Karin van Beurden (Saxion University of Applied Sciences), analysed the projects’ outcomes, value generation and cooperation.
