Caradt Associate Professor, Alwin de Rooij, and his Situated Art and Design research group, have been involved in organizing the 2022 Creativity & Cognition conferencearrow.

It is with great interest that we share this call for participation, inviting you to exhibit and present your work. We also invite you to share this call through your networks.

The 14th ACM conference on Creativity & Cognition will be held in Venice, Italy, on the Isola San Servolo, 20-23 June 2022.

C&C brings together artists, scientists, designers, educators, and researchers. We invite submissions that address any and all human senses (visual, sonic, tangible, olfactory, and somaesthetic). We invite both established and new approaches to data – including first person methods, visual methods, or textual analysis – as well as the qualitative and quantitative methodologies that are typically employed in human-computer interaction research.

Research Group: Situated Art and Design

Living in cities developed around data and acting within the inscrutable structure of our techno-society demands art and design that can help understand how we relate to these rapidly changing surroundings and to reflect on that relationship. The research group Situated Art and Design responds to this exigency by fostering a situated turn in art and design through a diverse portfolio of interdisciplinary research projects in partnership with academic and cultural partners, as well as with government and industry.
